The secret to a healthy child is prevention.
As parents, we want to protect our children from everything. One way to protect your child from illness is through preventative care. We advocate for Well-Child Visits and immunizations starting from infancy throughout adolescence. At Edmond Pediatrics, we follow the immunization guidelines as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but we encourage you to coordinate an immunization and check-up schedule that works for you.

Are immunizations right for your child?
Childhood immunizations are often a controversial topic due to a perceived connection between certain vaccines and autism. At Edmond Pediatrics, we stay up-to-date on the latest medical research and recommend childhood immunizations. There remains no solid evidence to suggest any correlations between vaccines and autism. We confidently practice preventative medicine and are here to discuss any of your questions.
The bare necessities.
Child must be six months or older
For children over age two without a history of asthma or chronic illness
Healthy kids need love too.
It is essential to bring your child in for regular checkups to examine their growth and development, especially when your child is young. Within the first few days of your child's life, we would like to see him/her for the first weight check. Well-Child Visits not only allow you to ask questions and receive advisement from your pediatrician, but they also help us catch any illness that may be developing or undetectable otherwise. Preventative care is the key to a responsible lifestyle and teaches children at a young age to take their health seriously. Find out what to expect at your appointment here.
